Deepinder the 38-year-old businessman who hails from Muktsar, Punjab, India was born into entrepreneurs’ families on the 26th of January, 1983. He earned his bachelor’s degree in computing and mathematics at the Indian Institute of Technology in Delhi in 2005.

Deepinder began working for Bain and Company as a Senior Associate Consultant in January following his graduation at the Indian Institute of Technology in Delhi. In the following year, he co-founded FoodieBay.com along with Deepinder Goyal and Pankaj Chaddah in 2008. It is now a household brand. In 2011, the site was rebranded as Zomato restaurant.
He was a management consultant at Bain & Company in New Delhi. Ordering food within Bain & Company required everyone to stand in long lines to order their food. The Zomato foundation will provide financial and educational assistance to families of delivery workers who have had their lives negatively affected by unplanned events like accidents at work or health issues contracted during their work. According to the statement, the assistance is available regardless of the amount of time that the delivery company has been in business.
Goyal also stated that he will not immediately sell all the shares in order in order to safeguard the interests of shareholders and to ensure that the foundation reaps the maximum amount of benefit that it is able to receive. “I don’t intend to sell all these shares in one go instead, I prefer to do it over time.” Goyal stated”that “I will liquidate less than 10% of these ESOPs in order to fund this fund for the initial year.”
